Designed for social housing providers and housebuilders, our Connected solutions offer smart data insights to transform property monitoring and maintenance practices and ensure safer homes for all. This GDPR compliant and easy to fit smart gateway, uses Smart RF technology to wirelessly connect smoke, heat, carbon monoxide alarms and Zigbee sensors to the FireAngel Connected cloud‑based platform.

When setup, the gateway provides an instant overview of property risk level and Specification device data. Our Connected technology offers a secure way of confirming fire & CO compliance, without the need to enter a property. It can also offer additional environmental insights so social landlords are able to provide the highest level of protection for their residents. Connected data – For full data overview via the Connected dashboard, add a gateway.

How does the Home Environment Gateway connect to other devices?

The Gateway connects wirelessly to chosen network of devices and continually monitors alarms, creating a link between Smart RF, Wi‑Safe 2, Zigbee devices and FireAngel’s Connected cloud platform. The Gateway is also equipped with LTE/GPRS Cellular and Wi‑Fi connectivity options.

What type of data does the Home Environment Gateway provide?

With in‑built temperature (accuracy: ±0.5 ºC) and humidity sensor (accuracy: ±3% RH) the Gateway provides real‑time data of a property’s internal environment, enabling housing providers to actively review and spot any properties at risk of damp and mould.

How does Zigbee work?

Zigbee is similar to a Bluetooth or radio frequency system which allows the Gateway to share data remotely. It can connect with up to 20 additional Zigbee sensors in a property, such as water leak detectors, air quality monitors and motion sensors, to create a holistic network of protection and detection for residents.

Will this work with FireAngel Specification products?

Yes, our Spec Connected Gateway has been designed for use alongside a network of FireAngel Specification range of Smoke, Heat and Carbon Monoxide Detectors and allows connection to the FireAngel App (iOS & Android compatible). You can add a Gateway at the same time as installing Fire and CO alarms. Alternatively, you can add a Gateway to an existing FireAngel Specification network at any time in the future.

These smart alarms, designed for social housing, can be interlinked (via hardwire or wireless) so when one alarm is triggered, all alarms in the property sound. Landlords can monitor and manage alarms remotely via the FireAngel Connected app, receiving device data and notifications without needing access to the property. The free app also allows for easy testing and instant notifications, showing the status of alarms, e.g. if they’ve been removed or need maintenance.
